My Hobbies
I have always been an outdoorsy person. I love nature, earth, sun, and water. I still have yet to add the “sky.”
(Or, the Hotair Balloon may pass the category, or maybe jumping from a 60ft tree playing with gravity!). I have to blame it
to the fact that I grew up spending my summer vacations all at my grandfather’s farm since I was a kid.
I love the smell of sunshine, grass, open field, mud, and everything else. The comfort I got being near the elements
was what formed the habit. I am into hiking, spelunking, beachineering, and anything under the sun (literally).
I have climbed a number of mountains already including the two highest peaks in Luzon – Mt Pulag and Mt. Tabeyoc,
and my latest achievement, the highest peak in the country – Mt. Apo. On the side, I get to do rappelling, rock &
wall climbing, and basic orienteering – ala amazing race. I have found a real good package of having to travel locally,
be healthy, live simply, meet different people, and have a real great fun just in one occassion. Plus, I get to reach out
and be socially responsible at the same time.
Aside from these though, I also have lazy weekends like just hanging out at home (I can be a good opponent in chess!)
doing nothing but being. I also love coffee times, and boring Sundays.
